The Royal Alcazares of Seville are considered part of the World Heritage by UNESCO. It is a fortress castle like many around Spain. This particular one is where many famous and important figures stay when they visit the city. In the Muslim era the alcazeres were where the muslim leaders resided when visiting the city. It was one of the most important clues of the victory against the vikings in the 9th century.
Ferdinand III, Alfonso X el Sabio, Pedro I el Cruel, and the catholic king and queen are just some of the royalty that have resided in this castle.
The most important modifications to the castle happened during the 18th century when it was damaged by the Portugal earthquake. Taking a walk through the gardens is a great option.
A walk through the Alcazar doesn't have a price. |
