The most anticipated week (even more so than the Feria), is Semana Santa in Seville (Easter Week). It is celebrated with great passion and veneration. It is a religious holiday that is backed up 100% by the population that waits all year for this very special week.

Semana Santa has a great importance in the city of Seville, it is known throughout the world for this. It is one of the city events that brings in the most tourists from all over the world each year from Palm Sunday until Easter Sunday. The city is immersed in tradition and passion.

Seville has more than 59 brotherhoods of which many Sevillians are part of. The processions are seen throughout the city. There is lots of singing, music, and most of all utter respect for the catholic religion and it's saints.

It is 8 days of processions, Good Friday being the most important lasting from thursday night until late hours of Friday, the most special night in Easter Week.
